The Naked Heart is thrilled to announce the opening of its 2nd and 3rd playgrounds in Leninsk-Kuznetsky and in Megione, both in the Siberian region.
Following the success of our first playground, opened in November 2006 in Natalia Vodianova's hometown Nijni Novgorod and the very successful fund raising during the Russian Rhapsody charity gala dinner in London in April 2007, Natalia Vodianova inaugurates two further playgrounds.
Note on Leninsk-Kuznetsky playground
The Leninsk-Kuznetsky playground opens on Wednesday 18th July by Natalia Vodianova and the Mayor of Leninsk-Kuznetky. This particular playground, which costs $315,000 has an area of 7,500 m2 and is accessible to all children. It is divided into two parts, fenced and guarded for 24h. The left side is designed for younger children (1-9) and has a large climbing ship, swings and benches for parents to watch their children. The right side is designed for older children (10-18) and has skate ramps and basketball hoops as well as a taller climbing structure.
Note on Megione playground
The third Naked Heart project started through the initiative of the Megione municipal administration. It opens on Friday 20th July by Natalia Vodianova and the Mayor of Megione. This $250,000 playground has been partly financed by the municipality. The 1,800 m2 area is accessible to all children up to 12 years old. It has a large climbing ship, swings, pyramids and play complexes for younger ones and physically challenged children. In addition to the fence and security guard, the playground has a 24h video monitoring.
Natalia Vodianova takes part directly in the design of the playgrounds with KSIL, experts in the field of constructing playgrounds in Eastern Europe. The complexes are built with the support of local authorities and take an average of 12 weeks, from the agreement until the completion of the project. All Naked Heart playgrounds are fenced with a 24h security guard. The Naked Heart agreements with authorities ensure the playgrounds are perfectly maintained on the long run.
