Just three days before the FIFA World Cup™ final, supermodel and philanthropist Natalia Vodianova, Russian producer Yana Rudkovskaya and His Excellency Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Russian Federation, will host a charity gala dinner as part of the Year of Culture Qatar-Russia 2018. The event will be supported by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), the organisation responsible for delivering the infrastructure required for the 2022 FIFA World Cup™. All the funds raised during the night will benefit the Naked Heart Foundation, which supports children with special needs.
The charity gala, will be held at Pashkov House, an imperial mansion in the heart of Moscow with iconic views of the Kremlin and the historical city centre, attracted top Russian society figures.
250 guests will enjoy a classic sit-down dinner with entertainment, led by one of Russia’s most famous TV presenters Yana Churikova, consisting of a football-themed quiz, exclusive music performance and a charity auction in aid of Naked Heart Foundation, held by Christie’s. Naked Heart Foundation’s trustee and art expert Sandra Nedvetskaia was the auctioneer for the night.
The highlight of the auction will be a unique Louis Vuitton FIFA World Cup™ official match ball collection trunk with 13 match balls inside. Each of them, reedited by adidas, was signed by football champions from each winning FIFA World Cup™ team, from 1970 to 2018, including Lothar Matthäus, Mario Götze, Iker Casillas, Ricardo Kaká and many more distinguished players. One additional football designed by Louis Vuitton is included in the trunk.
Other special lots include Zinedine Zidane’s jersey from the final match at the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™, a made-to-measure outfit by Dior Homme’s newly appointed designer Kim Jones, tickets to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ final with Barbara Palvin, Balmain dress created by Olivier Rousteing specially for Natalia Vodianova for the Met Gala in 2018, and many more money-can’t-buy unique experiences.
Guests of the auction will also have a unique opportunity to win the prize provided by the SC. The lucky winner of this lot will enjoy five-star service throughout an incredible trip to Qatar during the FIFA World Cup™ in 2022, the first to be held in the Middle East. The SC prize will offer the best in Arab hospitality, along with world-class football!
Winners of the football-themed quiz will be awarded with Grand Vintage Collection 1978 champagne, which is the 52nd edition of legendary Moët & Chandon Champagne House. Moët & Chandon has one of the most prestigious collections of rare vintages in Champagne.
The gala dinner in support of the Naked Heart Foundation will be just one in a series of significant events which will be unveiled during the Year of Culture Qatar-Russia 2018. In the framework of the cross-cultural exchange of knowledge and experience between two countries, special attention is given to charity. It plays a key role in the spiritual development of society and is an integral part of the culture of both states. The event organised in the aid of the Naked Heart Foundation in Moscow will strengthen cross-cultural ties between Qatar and Russia and draw attention to such important initiatives for both countries.
The venue decorations will be football-inspired and produced by Moscow’s leading décor company Lid’s Eventhouse. The dessert course, provided by Cordon-Bleu trained chef Anna Krasovskaia, will also come with football twist.
All the funds raised through the charity dinner and the auction will go towards developing support services for families with children with conditions such as autism, Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy and other special needs, as well as to constructing inclusive play facilities for children of all ages and abilities, which are Naked Heart Foundation’s two main areas of work.
