We have re-designed our play parks slightly in an effort to make them greener and to give them a more natural feeling. We have planned to stagger the park openings from late July to early October. The six play parks we are building are located in: Moscow, Kemerovo, Nizhnaya Salda, Novoshakhtinsk, Tikhvin and Ukhta. We are also building eight smaller playgrounds in seven orphanages and in one rehabilitation center for children. It is very exciting for us all to see these 14 new projects get off the ground!
Natalia Vodianova and Lucy Yeomans hosted the Love Ball on the 23rd February, a wonderful fundraising ball attended by many, that raised enough funds for us to build a healthy number of playparks in Russia and the UK this summer. Love Ball 2010
In 2005, Natalia Vodianova founded the Naked Heart Foundation. The wish to bring play to children who are deprived of any safe space in which to live out their childhood games is what has driven Natalia ever since then. We have built 40 playparks, and have an objective of 500 all over Russia. This video shows the joy that these play parks bring to the children they are built for, and the involvement of Natalia in realizing these projects.
A connection through fashion and a shared desire to bring joy and happiness to children brought Natalia Vodianova and Lucy Yeomans together. It was on a trip to Siberia to open play facilities that Lucy witnessed Natalia's remarkable determination and commitment to the charity that she founded. The Editor of Harper's Bazaar and Naked Heart Trustee shares her experiences.
Jamey Hargreaves of the fashion label, Julien Macdonald, was transfixed when Natalia spoke about her charity work at a conference hosted by the luxury goods industry. Jamey has been a supporter of the Naked Heart Foundation ever since, and says the formidable Ms. Vodianova is a constant source of inspiration to him.
